What will you do? (The role)
Knowledge Management is about ensuring people around the business have the right information at their fingertips to help them support our customers, and make decisions when designing new products and processes. Knowledge is information in action, and at Omnipresent, our global employment knowledge is a strategic resource and key to our success.
The Knowledge Management Lead is responsible for further developing our company’s knowledge strategy and guiding our internal knowledge experts around the business, as well as our Product team, to work in alignment with this strategy. This role is part of the Product Management team, with which you will have an especially close relationship.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing Omnipresent’s knowledge strategy, with objectives and key results that align with the company’s goals
- Setting the priorities and cross-team roadmap for improvements to how we gather & organise our hiring and employment knowledge across many different topics in 100+ countries in close collaboration with senior stakeholders in all departments
- Leading Knowledge Management team in initiatives and projects within this strategy, supporting day-to-day work and longer-term outcomes
- Maximising the quality of our global employment knowledge by creating and communicating guidelines for our internal knowledge experts, ensuring that it is up-to-date, consistent, and complete
- Maximising the value of our knowledge by working directly with our product team to ensure knowledge can be accessed wherever it’s needed
What are you great at? (Previous experience)
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and gaining alignment across all functions from senior leadership to individual contributors
- Communicating goals, outcomes, progress, and challenges to stakeholders regularly, asynchronously and in live meetings. Providing a high level of transparency on progress for project team members and the broader company
- Building processes from the ground up, listening to colleagues with deep subject matter expertise and translating this to a higher-level view for further feedback and iterations
- Mentoring and leading a team, coaching for growth, and fostering individual learning & development

- Understands the importance & impact of knowledge on a business and can evangelise this to others
- Has a track record of managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Thrives on change and ambiguity, and is comfortable experimenting with different approaches to solve problems. Able to shift as business needs change, or rethink a process or plan if data shows it isn’t working
- Loves to create clarity from complexity, with excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Is proactive, self-directed, and can identify challenges and jump in to start exploring potential solutions
- Has experience leading teams and guiding others who work in domains in which you’re not expert
What would make you really stand out? (Bonus points)
- 5+ years of Knowledge Management or relevant experience
- Has relevant experience developing a knowledge management strategy, from creation to implementation
- Previous familiarity with one or more of our core stakeholder functions: Product Management, HR, Tech, Legal, Benefits, or Payroll
- Experience working remotely across time zones, and in a tech startup environment
- Experience with Jira, Guru & Contentful
